DEGREE TEAM PREPARATION & PLANNING SIGN-UP SHEETS - OVERVIEW

Why should the Secretary provide these planning sheets to the Lodge Officers? I have learned over the years that many excellent ideas by a few individuals get lost when these individuals are no longer active. I have further learned from the Lodge files that my predecessors had some great ideas, only because of their documentation. So this leads to the premise that the Lodge Files are the best place to retain for future use any information gathered today and that will prove to be useful in the future.

The attached Degree Preparation & Planning Sign-up Sheets are not meant to replace any information provided by Grand Lodge related to the exemplification of our Three Degrees, nor to infer that future degree participants must use these sample sheets. New officers have much to learn and these planning sheets are meant to provide a base upon which they can build their approach to preparing for any degree in which they are the responsible leaders. It should be noted that whoever sits in the East for a particular degree, is responsible for selecting all participants and ensuring that all are prepared. It is hoped that these sign-up sheets are also useful in educating our new degree participants in planning ahead and realizing their responsibilities.

For the sake of minimizing the number of files required to access information, the planning sheets for the three degrees are located in one file. It should be noted that there are additional responsibilities for the Secretary which are documented in a folder titled

C:\ 04 Petition for the Three Degrees Progress Checklists & Candidate invitations.
