The Secretary is frequently called by the Worshipful Master, other officers, Lodge Instructors, and members inquiring about the status of candidates progressing through the Three Degrees or the status of petitions for affiliation.

This petition status tracking summary can be shared with the Worshipful Master so that he can schedule degrees, Receiving of Petitions, and Balloting on Petitions.
